Tomato plant growth promotion potential of Janibacter sp strain RC18

Actinomycetes are indispensable in the search for novel, potent and eco friendly fertilizers. The aim of this study was to investigate ability Janibacter sp. RC18 enhance tomato plant growth. isolated from turmeric rhizosphere screened vitro vivo growth promoting traits. promotion traits exhibited by strain were phosphate solubilization ammonia production. inoculated recorded significant (P< 0.05) increase height (45.67cm ± 1.5), number leaves (69.67 3.5), weight (19.40 g 0.53), high soil solubilizing bacterial count (7.2x105 CFU/g) compared uninoculated control. High endogenous nutrient content N, P, K, (4.4%, 0.8 % 1.1%) also obtained with inoculation Janibacter. Significant (p< 0.01) positive correlation all parameters except flowers. Findings indicate that sp is a good candidate bio-inoculant formulation .
